Our interactive bee presentations give residents the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of honey bees and beekeeping in a relaxed, friendly and enjoyable setting.
From conversations about bees and honey to memories of gardens, flowers and the countryside, our visits are designed to encourage curiosity, conversation and participation while providing residents with an interesting and enjoyable shared experience.
We visit care homes across West London and Surrey, as well as surrounding areas.

A visit consists of 2 parts.
A. Interactive presentation packed with visual aids.
The presentation will cover:
1. Ecosystem and pollination.
2. Honeybees, species, and biology.
3. Honeybees, hives, threats, and Asian hornet.
4. Build a hive model
B. Meeting the Bees Experience.
The pupils have an opportunity to see honeybees in an observation hive; a safe learning environment to watch and develop understanding about these amazing creatures. Children also have the opportunity to try a bee suit or vale protection and hold a smoker and hive tool. (Taking photos is very common)
James brought along his portable observation beehive, which made the experience even more interesting and engaging. His explanations were clear and informative, and the PowerPoint presentation was excellent.
What really stood out was the fantastic interaction he had with our elderly residents. He was friendly, patient and made everyone feel involved.

Our residents enjoyed learning about bees, beekeeping, honey, and just how important these little pollinators are to our environment. It was an educational, engaging and truly memorable afternoon.
